Welcome to year three in our Word Meets World series of school-year arcs. Each year, we are taking different words straight from the mouth of Jesus and using them to guide our preaching, teaching, and special activities. This year’s theme is both timely and timeless. I think we would all agree that our world desperately needs to better follow Christ’s command to Love One Another. This year at Memorial Road, we want to set that tone. We want to be lights in our community by adopting a posture of love, hope, and compassion that directly counters the hate, fear, and outrage we see all around us.
During this study, we will read, pray about, and practice Loving Our Enemies, Loving One Another, and Loving Our Neighbors. Can we challenge each other, as Jesus did, to live to this higher, better standard? Come with us as we try to learn how to filter everything we do, say, and even think through the foundational, transformational lens of truly Loving One Another well.

Seven Pledges
It is important to commit to principles before times of testing come. Below are seven pledges that we can make that will help us maintain our distinct identity as Christ followers, even as we engage in important issues facing the country over the next few months.

Questions to Ask
Feeling God’s love is one thing, sharing that love is another. To take spirituality to the next level, we need to show interest in another person’s interests. How does this take place? Conversation! A great question is a great way to love another person.
