Monthly Restaurant Groups

Monthly brunch, lunch, dinner, and coffee groups run from October through May. New groups start in October and meet the second Monday (lunch and dinner), Thursday (lunch and dinner), Friday (lunch), and Saturday (coffee and brunch) of each month. It’s a great way to try out new restaurants in Edmond or OKC while getting to know a small group of women! Contact Lori Walle at 405-213-4725 or LWalleSL@aol.com if you would like to see if a group still has an opening.

Single Women’s Activities Group

S.W.A.G. (Single Women’s Activities Group) is for single women of all ages and life stages from both Memorial Road and the community. Social and service activities are planned at various times and places. To be on the SWAG e-mail/text list to receive info about upcoming plans such as movies, crafts, dinners, etc., please contact Carolyn Donaghey at cdjoyfulpraise@gmail.com or 479-841-0390. Our next event is a catered Christmas dinner party at the home of Kathie Kraker on Saturday, December 6, at 5:30 p.m. Click HERE to sign up by November 30.

WINTER 2026 WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

CLASSES MEET AT MRCC FROM 6:30-7:30 PM, January 7-March 4

Come As You Are Class in A121

Led by Emily Murawsky and Brooke Talley

We will watch and discuss videos by six different bible teachers for “The Way of Wisdom: A Study of the Book of Proverbs.” As you consider wisdom principles on everyday topics like words, work, friendship, marriage, parenting, neighborliness, money management, leadership influence, and more, you’ll discover the wisdom of Proverbs as an invitation to steadily walk God’s way in God’s world. No registration needed, just come!

New Creation: Your Kingdom Come in A119

Led by Sara Alcon

We are called to live as though we are in the new creation, but that’s also really hard in a broken world. We will do a deep textual exploration of the godly wisdom given, especially in the New Testament, for how to restore relationships between us, God, and the creation. No registration needed.

The Bible Recap: Going Deeper in A120

Led by Robyn Yahola and Rebekah Beckham

If you’re starting the Bible Recap chronological Bible study in January, come join us for a weekly discussion covering the week’s reading. The Bible Recap study guide (available from Amazon) is helpful but not required. Come for one quarter or come for all of 2026 as we encourage each other to read the Bible in a year. Registration is recommended but not required.

REGISTRATION

Register HERE for “The Bible Recap: Going Deeper.” Come as You Are and Sara Alcon’s class do not need registration. Contact Lori Walle at 405-213-4725 or LWalleSL@aol.com for more information.

Encountering God: Cultivating Habits of Faith Through the Spiritual Disciplines (videos by Kelly Minter)

Spiritual disciplines are essential to a more vibrant spiritual life and knowing God more intimately. Instead of being just one more thing on your to-do list, you’ll find that these habits of faith can actually create more margin in your life–providing peace and rest as you walk closer with Jesus.

Heaven: When Faith Becomes Sight (videos by Jennifer Rothschild)

Led by Mary Ann Rosenbalm

You’ll not only gain a deeper understanding of what God has prepared for His children, but also learn how to live with confidence today as you look forward to the glorious unending that awaits.

THIRD STUDY TBA

CWBS (CENTER FOR WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDIES)

“Moved by the Spirit: A Study of the Book of Acts”

Today Christianity is the most populous religion in the world.  Yet it began with just a handful of poor, uneducated farmers and fishermen. Have you ever wondered how this group of completely ordinary men and women with neither money nor military propelled a movement that would quickly change the world? Come join us this year as we dive into the book of Acts, the story of how God used his Spirit to create what we know as the Church. Prepare to be spiritually challenged, emotionally encouraged, and relationally blessed as we gather weekly to reflect on the movement of the Holy Spirit at the birth of the Church and in our own lives today.

    Meeting Times & Registration

Register HERE. Nine small groups (including one Zoom group) meet weekly on Thursday mornings from 9:30–11:00 September 11 through March 12. A Wednesday evening group will meet from 6:30-7:30, September 10 through March 11. CWBS does not meet through the holiday season, from Thanksgiving through the New Year. A study guide may be purchased on the first day of class for $10.

Childcare for infants through age five is provided during all of our CWBS Thursday morning studies and monthly luncheons. Please pre-register for childcare when you sign up for CWBS. Wednesday night offers bible classes for all ages, infants through high school.
