We continued our On Purpose series from Ephesians, arriving at chapter 6:10-18, which serves as a culmination of Paul’s teaching to this point. Having laid out God’s divine purpose, the kingship of Jesus, the call to unity in the church, and instructions for living to a higher calling, Paul now reminds us of what stands in the way. The description of God’s armor is familiar to many and serves as a rousing coda to this powerful letter. When we are mindful of our true enemy and spiritually equipped to face him, God’s might enables us to stand up to any attack.
