This was a special service celebrating being debt free. We called it “A Million Reasons to Celebrate.” There were several unique elements in our worship service. First, we highlighted all the projects over the years from which we incurred debt – everything from our first land purchase and auditorium build to our recent acquisition of the land for Heritage Church of Christ. We commemorated this moment with a mortgage burning ceremony. Secondly, we watched a video highlighting all the ministry initiatives that came out of our imagine campaign. Finally, we had a first fruits offering in which we took the first part of our new budget dollars and gave it away to bless our community.
