Sometimes we forget familiar words. Familiar words in the media. Familiar words from family. Even familiar words from God. Sometimes these words become so familiar we lose perspective on their power. Sunday, Phil starts a series to remind us of one of the greatest promises in the Bible. It’s called the Immanuel promise, and it’s just a few words: God is with us. You’ve heard those words before. You’ve probably heard them a lot. But hearing the words frequently doesn’t guarantee we won’t lose sight of the meaning within those words. In valley, in the dark, on the mountain, in the moment, in a pandemic, we all need the Immanuel promise. Please join us this Sunday to re-experience the magnitude of the words, “God With Us.”
