Kingdom Parables

Byron Newberry | Wednesdays 7-8 pm | July 8-August 5

Sometimes Jesus teaches directly, and other times he uses short stories called parables to get his message across. This class will look at several of those parables and see what Jesus was saying to his audience then and what he might be saying to us.

Rebuilding (Nehemiah)

Clint McKnight | Mondays 7-8 pm | June 1-29

The book of Nehemiah features God’s people trying to rebuild – physically and spiritually – after a devastating time in exile. This class will work through this book of the Bible and see what God expects from his people.

Science and Christianity in History

Mark Brewer | Wednesdays 7-8 pm | Begins June 3

This class will look at major conversations and events in the past where science and Christianity interacted. We’ll look at the story of Galileo and the Catholic Church, the Scopes Trial, Noah’s Ark and the Flood, and other interactions. We’ll examine the people and issues and how the episodes affected culture and society.
