Route 66: The Main Street of America

Join the MRCC Senior Adult Ministry event on Thursday, September 24, 2026, for a special evening in El Reno featuring the centennial documentary Route 66: The Main Street of America.

Our destination trip will begin with dinner at The Shed restaurant in El Reno, followed by screening the documentary at the Center Theater at 7:00 PM.

This feature-length documentary celebrates the legendary Route 66 and takes viewers on a memorable journey along the historic highway. Through unexpected roadside attractions, revitalized communities, and the stories of the people who call Route 66 home, the film offers a heartfelt portrait of an American icon filled with humor, warmth, and discovery.

Admission is only $10, and this screening is expected to sell out.

We have pre-purchased 30 admission tickets and reserved two MRCC 15-passenger vans, so the trip is limited to 30 participants.

The vans will depart from the MRCC church building at 4:00 PM and expect to return to MRCC church building at approximately 10:00 PM.
