DESCRIPTION:Grief is a very deep\, complicated bundle of emotions that can be truly overwhelming.  Each of us in our lifetime will grieve for a number of reasons brought on by life circumstances.   Naturally\, we think of grief after the loss of a loved one.   We also may grieve loss of connections when we move\, loss of a pregnancy or infertility\, loss of a close relationship\, the end of a marriage\, loss of employment\, and many other losses.  Our church family cares deeply about those grieving in any way and we don’t want you to feel you are grieving alone. We want to offer you love\, hope\, and support in your journey of grief. \nWEEKLY GRIEF SUPPORT \nIf you have experienced the death of a loved one please join us for this program of education and support. SUMMARY:Heartfelt Moms Registration 2026-2027
DESCRIPTION:The Heartfelt Ministry is designed to build relationships between the generations\, with a group of older women hosting and loving on a group of younger women.  It is made of Heart Moms and Heart Sisters who come together to share life stories\, have a meal together and learn from each other. Click HERE to watch a video featuring memories and testimonials from past years. \nHere is what you need to know about being a Heart Mom: \n\nThey can be married\, widowed or single women of that age.\nThey plan and prepare the evening\, giving the Sisters an example of hosting and allowing them night free of responsibilities. The evening consists of dinner\, either life stories or devotional\, optional craft or activity\, and prayer time.\nThey can choose one to three friends to be Moms with them\, or they can choose to be placed randomly with a group of Moms.\nThe evening should last approximately two hours with start times typically between 6:00 and 6:30 (the Moms in each group decide which time works best for most of their group).\nA Moms meeting on Sunday\, August 9\, 3:00- 4:30 p.m. in A105/106 should answer any questions\, with time at the end for Moms to meet with their Heart Mom group.\nA Kick Off Dinner is Monday\, August 24\, 6:30-8 p.m. in Fellowship Central. Moms will come at 6:00. More details will be provided.\nRegistration is open now and will close at midnight July 26.\n\nSome changes from previous years: \n\nHeartfelt will kick off in August and will end in April instead of May.\nHeartfelt will officially be offered every other year\, starting this year.\nThe first two months of Heartfelt will involve sharing life stories\, dinner\, optional craft or activity\, and prayer time.  One month is designated as a service project month (we will provide ideas).\nThe other months will include devotional (provided)\, dinner\, optional craft or activity\, and prayer time.\nWe are limiting the number of Sisters to match up with how many Moms we have so …. The road of recovery should not be traveled alone.  \nDivorceCare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced.  It’s a place where you can be around people who understand what you are feeling. The weekly meetings include education and discussion about healing from the hurt of separation or divorce\, as well as a time to gain support. \n\n\n\nOur next fall series launches September 10\, 2025.  We will meet in room A 111 6:30-7:30 on Wednesdays this fall. \n\n\n\nChildren are invited to attend our Wednesday evening bible class for their age group while parents are in DivorceCare. SUMMARY:Women's Retreat 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join us February 7-9 at Canyon Camp & Conference Center in Hinton\, Oklahoma (one hour west of MRCC) for a winter retreat! The theme is Heart of Grace\, with speaker and author Lori Ann Wood of Bentonville\, Arkansas. \nThe retreat features one-night\, two- night\, and Saturday-only options. Friday night check in is any time after 4:30 PM. This evening will be an informal time\, and everyone is welcome to bring snacks\, play games\, and fellowship. Saturday check-in is between 7:30-8:30 AM. Scheduled events begin at 9 AM. Sunday will include breakfast and worship time. Check out is 11 AM. \nMeals – Saturday meals include breakfast\, lunch\, and dinner. Sunday includes breakfast. Gluten Free options are available with advance notice (please indicate on registration form). \nAccommodations range from motel style rooms with 2 persons per room (3 or 4 upon request) to large cabins with bunk beds for 15 and shared bathrooms. Two sessions will be dedicated to helping parents understand the unique influences and mindsets of Generation Alpha. \nArtificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Threats: Have you considered how artificial intelligence will impact our children and teens?  This session will unpack both opportunities and threats facing parents as they seek to navigate the impact of AI on growth and development. \nThe Anxious Generation: How do we help? This session will focus on understanding the anxiety our children and teens are experiencing.  Parents will also be given tips for managing anxiety and addressing the underlying issues \n  \nDr. Shelly Melia serves as the Program Director for the Master of Arts in Children’s Ministry and the Master of Arts in Family Ministry at Dallas Baptist University.
