CWBS (CENTER FOR WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDIES)

“Living as Exiles: A Study of 1 & 2 Peter and Jude”

The challenges of choosing to follow Christ were not a surprise to Peter, one of Jesus’ closest apostles. Peter knew that this life would bring trials and suffering that would threaten to undermine our faith. The world will not always embrace our desire to reflect our Savior and sometimes threats will even arise from within our own ranks. Peter wanted Christ’s followers to be “alert and sober minded,” but not discouraged. For in God’s “great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade.” We cannot forget God’s promises as we strive to make every aspect of our life a reflection of our holy calling. Join us as we draw wisdom and encouragement from the study of letters written by Peter and Jesus’ brother, Jude.

CWBS is a Thursday morning small group women’s Bible study open to all ladies in the community who desire an in-depth study of God’s word. If you are looking for a welcoming, affirming place to dig into the Word with other women who desire a deeper relationship with God, we invite you to join us this year for a study of 1 & 2 Peter and Jude.

    Meeting Times & Registration

Small groups meet weekly on Thursday mornings from 9:30 – 11:00 September 7 through March 14. CWBS does not meet through the holiday season, from Thanksgiving through the New Year. This study will require the purchase of two study guides. 1 Peter study guides will be purchased in September and 2 Peter/Jude study guides will be purchased January 17 at Ministry Central.

Because we are studying three separate books of the Bible this year, there is a unique opportunity to join us for a 12-week study of I Peter, so try us out! Our study of I Peter will conclude on January 18. If your schedule allows, you are welcome to stay for the study of 2 Peter and Jude that will wrap up on March 14.

NEW: A Wednesday evening group will offer an 8-week study of 2 Peter & Jude beginning January 24, 6:30-7:30. Click here to register.

Childcare for infants through age five is provided during all of our CWBS Thursday morning studies and monthly luncheons. Please pre-register for childcare when you sign up for CWBS. Wednesday night offers bible classes for all ages, infants through high school.

For more information, contact Diana Perkins at bperkokc@aol.com or 405-255-1900.

Register here for the Thursday AM or Wednesday PM CWBS study of I & 2 Peter and Jude by August 23.
