SUMMARY:Heartfelt Friends Registration
DESCRIPTION:Titus 2 tells us that the older women should train up the younger women. Heartfelt Friends ministry is geared to build relationships between the generations. It is made up of Heart Moms and Heart Sisters who come together to form Heart Groups and looks something like this: \n\nHeart Moms are there to teach and encourage through their example of serving the Heart Sisters.\nA team of 4 Heart Moms will host a group of 6-8 Heart Sisters in one of the Mom’s homes\, at a set time once a month (we will offer Monday\, Tuesday\, Thursday\, or Friday evening groups\, which will run from October 2024 to May 2025).\nMeetings will last approximately two hours each month on your set evening and include dinner. The evening is a child and husband free night–ladies only please!\nHeart Moms will have a meeting to receive instructions for this year’s Heartfelt season on Sunday\, September 15\, 3:30-4:30 p.m.\nA Heartfelt Kickoff Dinner for all Heart Moms and Heart Sisters will be Monday\, September 23\, 6:30-8 in Fellowship Central. Mark your calendar–details to come!\n\nSign up HERE by September 2 to be a Heart Mom (a Christian woman who is an empty nester or beyond\, married or single) \nSign up HERE by September 2 to be a Heart Sister (a younger Christian woman\, college age to children at home age\, single or married\, with or without children) \nA table in the lobby will be set up August 25 and September 1 for registration and to answer any questions. DESCRIPTION:One in ten people over age 65 live with Alzheimer’s disease today and this number is on the rise.  Of course\, this includes members of our church family and our community.  Most of us know multiple people affected by Alzheimer’s. \n\n\nWe offer two monthly in-person support group times for caregivers of a loved one with Alzheimer’s meeting in person at MRCC.  Caregivers are welcome to attend both or either of these times:\nThe first Tuesday evening of the month\, 6:30-8:00 in A119 (led by Dawn Hemphill and Mary Jo Jones)\nThe third Thursday of the month at 3:00-4:30 in A119  (led by Denise Hawkins).   \nOur groups are led by trained facilitators who each have been shaped by how this disease has impacted their families. As we meet in person\, masks are welcome but not required.
