DESCRIPTION:Grief is a very deep\, complicated bundle of emotions that can be truly overwhelming.  Each of us in our lifetime will grieve for a number of reasons brought on by life circumstances.   Naturally\, we think of grief after the loss of a loved one.   We also may grieve loss of connections when we move\, loss of a pregnancy or infertility\, loss of a close relationship\, the end of a marriage\, loss of employment\, and many other losses.  Our church family cares deeply about those grieving in any way and we don’t want you to feel you are grieving alone. We want to offer you love\, hope\, and support in your journey of grief. \nWEEKLY GRIEF SUPPORT \nIf you have experienced the death of a loved one please join us for this program of education and support. In an atmosphere of mutual love and support\, we discuss the journey of grief\, and acquire tools to handle this difficult time in our lives. \nOur GriefShare program at MRCC will meet during our winter quarter in room A111 at 6:15-7:45 beginning on Wednesday\, January 7\, 2026. \n\n\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER NOW FOR MRCC’s GRIEF SHARE 2026 \nThis group is specifically tailored to address grief due to the loss of a loved one.     We recognize there are many other causes of grief and will be glad to speak with you about plans for support in other area. \nGRIEF COUNSELING SERVICES \nWe offer grief counseling for individuals and families through our Counseling Center. DESCRIPTION:One in ten people over age 65 live with Alzheimer’s disease today and this number is on the rise.  Of course\, this includes members of our church family and our community.  Most of us know multiple people affected by Alzheimer’s. \n\n\nWe offer two monthly in-person support group times for caregivers of a loved one with Alzheimer’s meeting in person at MRCC.  Caregivers are welcome to attend both or either of these times:\nThe first Tuesday evening of the month\, 6:30-8:00 in A119 (led by Dawn Hemphill and Mary Jo Jones)\nThe third Thursday of the month at 3:00-4:30 in A119  (led by Denise Hawkins).   \nOur groups are led by trained facilitators who each have been shaped by how this disease has impacted their families.

SUMMARY:NEST For Widows
DESCRIPTION:NEST (Nurture Encourage Support Together) for Widows is for widows of all ages from Memorial Road and the community. Its purpose is to provide encouragement and support and to facilitate friendships for new widows and longer time widows. NEST meets quarterly on the second Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. in A120 at Memorial Road. Guests are always welcome. DESCRIPTION:HOPE (Hope Over Pain Everyday) is a support group for women who struggle with chronic pain due to arthritis\, auto-immune conditions\, severe back pain\, or other health issues. Its purpose is to provide encouragement\, education\, and hope for MRCC and community women facing daily pain challenges.  \nHOPE meets monthly on the second Tuesday from 10:00-11:30 AM in room A106. \nThis group is led by Gail Brookman\, a trained facilitator who experiences chronic pain from multiple health conditions.   We will use guided studies as well as host occasional guest speakers about resources that may be helpful. \nWhile we will be sharing our pain struggles\, our goal is for everyone to leave our support group meetings with a sense of HOPE.  HOPE because we know God will take care of us and HOPE because we can connect with others who also experience chronic pain. \nPlease pre-register and submit any questions here \nRomans 12:12 “Be joyful in hope\, patient in affliction\, faithful in prayer.”
