Refuge: A Spiritual Disciplines Retreat
March 8 @ 8:00 pm - March 10 @ 10:30 am$125
Have your spiritual habits taken a backseat lately? Most people have great intentions when it comes to prayer, scripture reading, and meditation; but, let’s be honest, when life gets busy these are often first priorities to get bumped. For the first time, we’re offering Refuge: A Spiritual Disciplines Retreat, an important congregational weekend overtly geared toward helping you get these practices back where they belong in your life. Discover a biblical framework for understanding spiritual disciplines, receive in-depth teaching in relation to five specific disciplines, utilize time carved out in the schedule expressly to practice the disciplines, and enjoy times of fun, fellowship, and spiritual renewal with your fellow Christians. The weekend will begin on Friday, March 8 at 8:00 pm and conclude by 10:30 am on Sunday, March 10.Everyone is welcome, so gather your friends and make your reservation for Refuge today. You won’t want to miss it.
Chris Altrock, senior minister at the Highland Church of Christ in Memphis, TN, and author of a practical guide on spiritual formation called Ten Minute Transformation, will be our main guest speaker. He will be joined by Phil Brookman, Jeff McMillon, Josh Kingcade, and others to guide us through practices like Spiritual Reading, Practicing the Presence of God, Confession, Creation, and Creative Expression.
