Niteroi Team

Missionaries in Niteroi, Brazil

The Niteroi Mission team arrived in Brazil in November of 2008 with the goal of establishing a New Testament church at a central location within the city of Niteroi, Brazil.

Upon arriving on the field, the team began learning the language and becoming better versed in local culture, while also surveying the city to discover the best potential neighborhoods for the church plant.  "Igreja O Caminho” was inaugurated on March 7, 2010, and the church currently has two services on Sundays with an average attendance of 70.  It also has a small groups ministry that provides a place to both disciple and evangelize to the local community.

This team has been richly blessed by what God is doing in this city and are even more excited to see what God has in store for the future of His church. Itis the team’s goal that one day the church here will own its own facility and be a growing, self-sustaining Brazilian congregation that will plant other churches in Niterói and the surrounding areas. Memorial Road Church of Christ supports this mission effort through contributions to the working fund for the entire team and through support team's capital fund raising campaign for construction of a church building.  The Niteroi Mission team consists for the families of Brent & Jill Nichols, Zane & April McGee, Nathan & Sara Zinck, and Ben & Juliana Roberts.
