Joe and Lottie McCormack

Joe was born on December 6, 1939, in a farmhouse near Tipton, Oklahoma, where he was raised. Joe attended school at Oklahoma Christian, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and OSU. He met his wife, Lottie, when they were in Bible class and church together in Tipton, Oklahoma, and were married there on August 31, 1958.

Joe is retired from Oklahoma Christian University, Department of Language and Literature, where he taught full time for 35 years. Lottie and Joe have three sons, Tim, Jeff, and Steve, one daughter, Connie, and now four grandsons and five granddaughters.

Joe became an elder in April of 1988, and says his greatest joy is “sharing in the unity of purpose in the body of Christ at Memorial Road.” His favorite scripture is Chapter 13 of I Corinthians.  He loves to eat a stack of barbecued ribs and watch a good basketball game, but his favorite time is spent visiting with his families—at church and at home.
