Fall Classes for All

Lessons from the Life of David: A Study of 1-2 Samuel

Kelly Barker | A115-116

David will forever be remembered for being a man after God’s own heart. What an incredible compliment for God to bestow on someone! This class will take an in-depth look at the fascinating life of David and come away with some practical points about developing the heart God wants us to have. From the victory over Goliath to running for his life, David’s story is extremely powerful and full of practical applications. This class would also serve as a good overview of much of 1-2 Samuel for our LTC parents.

Listening to God’s Heartbeat

Peter Cariaga | A122

This class will explore a variety of biblical texts that give insight into the nature and heart of God. We will trace themes that run throughout both Old and New Testaments, probing how guidance, justice, mission, and even jealousy might be close to God's heart. The format will consist of weekly content presentations and guided group discussions. This class will build from week to week, so it will be most beneficial for participants who can attend the entire series.

Western Christians in Global Missions

John Wilguess | A101

Do you see yourself as a missionary? How do you prepare? What should you say? Where do I turn? Western Christians In Global Missions is a highly interactive class which will feature discussions with missionaries from throughout the world, assigned readings from the book Western Christians In Global Mission, and participation of class members to help prepare for a GoMission opportunity or to find ways to better serve those around us in the name of Jesus.

Creating A Spiritual Plan for Children

Stafford North, Mike O’Neal, Larry Scott | A113

We plan for dinner. We plan for retirement. We plan for our kids’ college tuition. How much do we plan for our children’s spiritual future? In this class, you’ll learn practical, biblical insights and tools to help you raise your children to know and love God. This class will be helpful for parents of children of all ages who are still living at home. You will finish the class with a robust written plan to be an active part of your children’s spiritual formation. [Pre-registration for this class has closed. We will offer this again in the future!]

Owning Faith: How Parents & Other Significant Adults Spiritually Form our Children

Dudley Chancey & Guest Presenters | A117-118

This class will explore why students stay and why they leave. We will discuss ways that adults can be intentionally involved in the spiritual lives of children. We will talk about intentional intergenerational ministry and why it is important in our church family's life. We will talk about why children's ministry and youth ministry are not the silver bullet--but can be very significant helps. Participants will be empowered with mentoring/discipling ideas that will benefit all ages. Participants will have a better biblical understanding of their responsibility in this process.
